A Christmas Story | Cleveland, OH
We all love a bit of festive film viewing, and a cozy winter evening is best spent curled in front of the fire watching A Christmas Story. Bird Box | Monrovia, CA
We loved the TV thriller Bird Box, but we are not sure we’d really want to immerse ourselves in that world in our own real lives. But if you are so inclined, you can visit the real-life LA suburb that the filming took place in, and see the iconic house for yourself. It does belong to someone, but they don’t seem to mind people coming to visit it so much—and apparently, it’s been the location for a few other movies, too. The house is located at 304 N Canyon Blvd., Monrovia, CA 91016.
The Amityville Horror | Amityville, NY
Gah! Just the sight of this house fills us with terror and dread. And no wonder, because it’s the sight of the gruesome thriller The Amityville Horror. Sure, it looks a bit different—no eye windows, for example—but it still captures the feelings of fear and foreboding. Can you believe that someone actually lives in this house? Rather you than me. Anyway, if you really must go and visit this house of horrors, you can find it at 112 Ocean Ave., Amityville, NY 11701.
Boy Meets World | Studio City, CA
Can you believe that this iconic TV show and the home that most of the adventure took place in, is really a real house! Might we get a glimpse of the swoonsome Jesse Pinkman? Here’s hoping—although bear in mind it’s a real house with real people living there. You can find the house at 3828 Piermont Dr. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
Dexter | Miami Beach, FL
You might expect that the real-life venue of Dexter’s apartment would be in Southern Florida, where the TV show is set. But did you know that the inside of the apartment was actually in Long Beach, California? And if you want to see the actual outer trappings of the venue, you’d better head to the Bay Harbor Club condos in Miami Beach. You won’t be able to get in as it’s members-only, but you can still get a good look at it as you drive past it. You can see it at 1155 103rd St. (at Bay Harbor Club), Miami Beach, FL 33154.

We sure do—and you actually can go inside this one, as it’s now a sort of business venue. You can see this house at 64 E Main St., Freehold, NJ 07728.
The Holiday | San Marino, CA
Cute! We would love to move into this super swish luxury pad as well, especially if it means we get to have an unexpected and laughter-filled romance. I mean, we sort of want to swap it out for a small cottage in England and have a fling with Jude Law, but whatever. This is the house that Kate Winslet ended up in, and you can’t really say it’s not totally gorge. Why not visit it and bask in its real-life glory! The house where "Buffalo Bill" stalks Jodie Foster's character in the basement is in a rural Pennsylvania hamlet southeast of Pittsburgh.
