Country music is all about love and loss, and many of the genre's songs are based on the experiences of the people who sing and write them.

Many country stars are married, but for some reason, their relationships remain outside of the spotlight. This is why today we want to reveal the unknown side of country - the musicians' privet life.

Some of these marriages are still going strong, others ended up in tears, but no matter what's the story, it is certainly described in numerous country songs.

Take a look at the love life of your favorite country stars, and where they are today.

One of the founding members of the famous country group Lady Antebellum was Charles Kelley. Kelley met and fell for his, now wife, Cassie McConnell, a music representative, and the two tied the knot in a ceremony in Nashville in June 2009. In 2016, after almost 7 years of marriage, Charles Kelley and Cassie have announced that they've become parents to their first child, a baby boy named Ward Charles Kelley who was born in February 2016.

Some people are lucky enough to find their soul mate when they're young. Luke Bryan and Caroline Boyer were two of those people. These college sweethearts met at a local bar called Dingus Magees while they were attending the Georgia Southern University. Bryan was a senior at the time, and Boyer was a freshman. They fell in love, and in 2006 they decided to tie the knot. They are the proud parents of two boys, Thomas "Bo" Boyer Bryan, born in March 2008, and Tatum "Tate" Christopher Bryan, born in August 2010. Boyer and Bryan are also raising Bryan's nephew Tilden.

Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams-Paisley

One of the most accomplished country singers today, Brad Paisley, met actress Kimberly Williams in 2001 and instantly fell for her. Paisley saw Williams in Father of the Bride, after which he asked her to appear in his music video "I'm Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin' Song)".

The couple began dating soon after, and two years later Paisley and Williams got married at Stauffer Chapel, an on-campus chapel at the Pepperdine University. In 2007, they became parents to son William Huckleberry and in 2009, the couple welcomed their second son, Jasper Warren.

After fifteen No. 1 singles, we can certainly say that Dierks Bentley is an accomplished and successful country star. Bentley met Cassidy Black and fell for her immediately. The couple got married in a ceremony in Mexico in December 2005.

In 2008, Bentley and Black became the proud parents of Evelyn "Evie" Day Bentley. In 2010, on Christmas Day, they welcomed their second daughter Jordan Catherine Bentley, and in 2013 the couple had their son Knox Bentley. The two family dogs, Jake and George, complete this perfect family.

After winning three Grammy Awards, ten American Music Awards, fourteen Academy of Country Music Awards and eleven Country Music Association Awards, and after ten of his fourteen albums have reached the number one on the Top Country Albums chart, it is safe to say that Tim McGraw is one of the most prominent country singers of all time.

McGraw has been married to fellow country singer Faith Hill - who has an impressive record on her own, including 3 Country Music Association Awards, and 5 Grammy Awards - since 1996, and this relationship is a very high-profile one. The couple is parents to three girls.

One of the members of the famous country duo Sugarland, Jennifer Nettles has been married twice. Nettles was married to Todd Van Sickle from 1998 to until 2007. Soon after, Nettles met Justin Miller and the two began dating. After two years of relationship, they decided to get engaged, and in 2011 they got married in a romantic ceremony held at Blackberry Farm in Tennessee at sunset. In December 2012, after announcing that they are expecting, the couple welcomed a baby boy, Magnus Hamilton Miller.

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood

After 135 million copies sold in the US alone, Garth Brooks is considered one of the most successful artists of all time, and not only in the country music industry. In 1986, Brooks married his college sweetheart, Sandy Mahl. Together, the couple had three daughters, but the marriage was not strong enough and they divorced in 2000. Later on, Brooks began dating his fellow country music singer Trisha Yearwood, and in 2005 these two singers decided to tie the knot. Brooks and Yearwood don't have children together.

Gary and Tara LeVox

The lead singer of famous country music group the Rascal Flatts, Gary LeVox saw his future wife at the backstage of a gospel festival and he knew immediately that she was the one.

LeVox once said in an interview: “I knew at that moment that I was looking at my future wife. It was the weirdest thing ever.”

Gary LeVox and Tara Vernon had been married since 1999, and still going strong. They are the proud parents of two girls. Their story proves that love at first sight actually exists.

LeAnn Rimes had a life worthy of a country song. Becoming famous when she was just 13, she's been active in the country music industry ever since. In 2001, at the Academy of Country Music Awards, Rimes met backup dancer Dean Sheremet and after the two dated shortly, they got married in 2002.

The couple divorced in 2010 amidst rumors of an affair. Rimes met Eddie Cibrian in 2009 on a movie set and the two ended up getting married in April 2011.

Martina McBride and John McBride

Back in 1991, Martina McBride started her country music career, and she has seen nothing but success ever since. Similar to Shania Twain, McBride started flirting with the pop-country style which pretty much helped her reach national fame.

Martina met sound engineer John McBride when she was 20-years-old and fell for him. The couple ended up getting married in 1988, and they are still together and in love. Martina and John McBride are the proud parents of three girls, Delaney Katharine, Emma Justine and Ava Rose Kathleen.

The woman of many talents, Amy Grant is also known as the Renaissance woman. The reason for that name is that Grant is a singer, songwriter, actress, author and media personality. She is mainly focused on contemporary gospel and Christian music, but she also flirted with Christian pop in her career. When Grant met Vince Gill, a fellow country singer, they were both married to other people. Gill asked Grant to perform at his Christmas special, and they became good friends. After a while, they both got divorced and married each other in 2000. The couple is parents to daughter Corrina.

Britney Spears' little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, is an actress and a country singer. Jamie Lynn got her celebrity status after she appeared in Zoey 101 in 2005 but she made headlines after she got pregnant at 16. The pregnancy paused her career until 2013 when she decided to try her luck in country music. In 2012, Spears became involved with businessman and voice actor Jamie Watson, and the couple got married after two years of dating, in 2014 in New Orleans. They have two daughters together

After eighteen of his singles reached the number one spot on the Hot Country Song charts and Country Airplay chart, and eight other singles reached the top ten on those charts, it is safe to say that Jason Aldean is a highly successful country singer.

Alden's been married twice. His first marriage was to his high school sweetheart, Jessica Ussery. The marriage ended when a rumor of an affair he had with American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr started flying around.

After Aldean and Ussery divorced, he started dating Kerr and after a year the two decided to get married in 2015. They have a son and daughter together

Thanks to her flirting with country-pop, Canadian singer Shania Twain became a worldwide phenomenon in the 90s. Twain is the best-selling female artist in the history of country music, and has been called "Queen of Country Pop".

She was married twice. The first time to producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange whom she met at Nashville's Fan Fair. They got married in 1993 and in 2001 they welcomed baby boy Eja.

Twain and Lange divorced who started dating her best friend Marie-Anne Thiébaud. Twain, in the spirit of country music, ended up marrying her friend's ex-husband, Frédéric Thiébaud.

Clint Black and Lisa Hartman Black

Clint Black is a songwriter, producer, musician, an occasional actor and a country singer. All of this activity didn't take a toll on his music career and Black is the proud owner of thirty singles that had reached top ten on the Billboard country charts. Twenty-two of those singles actually reached the number one spot.

Black fell in love with actress Lisa Hartman whom he married in 1991. In 2001, the couple welcomed their baby girl Lily Pearl Black. In 2002, the little Black family moved from LA to Nashville, Tennessee, the capital of country music.

Darius and Beth Rucker

Mostly known as the lead singer and guitarist of Hootie and the Blowfish, Darius Rucker decided to focus his energy on a solo career, and after leaving the bend, he released an R&B album. In 2008, Rucker signed with Capitol Nashville and officially became a country singer.

Back in 1995, Rucker became a father to baby girl Carolyn Pearl Philips with his girlfriend at the time, Elizabeth Ann Phillips.

In 2000, Darius married Ruth Leonard, after what he describes as love at first site. In 2001, they became parents to baby girl Daniella Rossa. Another son, Jack, was born in 2005.

James Otto and Amy Alderson

Ava Katherine, the daughter of James Otto and Amy Alderson was born in 2010. Otto met Alderson several years earlier, and the couple decided to get married in October 2005. James Otto is a famous country star and a member of MuzikMafia, a group of country musician who gathered around the idea that music should be created without prejudice, especially country music. Fellow members from MuzikMafia, John Rich and Jay DeMarcus, helped Otto to produce his second album.

Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans

Kelsea Ballerini is a fairly new country-pop singer who released her first album in 2015. Recently, her work was awarded when she got a nomination for a Grammy for Best New Artist.

Ballerini met her husband, Australian musician Moran Evans, when the two co-hosted an award show, and in 2016, he got down on one knee in her kitchen, while she was burning pancakes, and asked her to be his wife. The couple got married in December 2017, in Cabo San Lukas, Mexico.

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman

Maybe the most famous couple on this list, Keith Urban, Australian country singer, met his wife, famous actress Nicole Kidman, at the 2005 G'Day LA, an event held in Hollywood to honor Australians. A tabloid reported that the two of them started dating six months after this event, and a year later, they've decided to make their love official. The wedding ceremony was held in the Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel in St.Patrick's Estate in Sydney, Australia. Beside two adopted children from her previous marriage, Kidman and Urban have two daughters together.

The very first week Mo Pitney released his debut album Behind This Guitar, it entered the top 10 of the Billboard Top Country Albums list. It was October 2016, and the young singer was over the moon with his success.

His love life couldn't be happier either. Pitney met his future wife Emily when they were teenagers, at bluegrass festival. He married his soul mate in March 2016 in a small ceremony at a church in her hometown of Carbondale, Illinois.

Dean Berner and Rachel Beauregard

Berner was a member of country group Edens Edge, and Beauregard is a current member of country music duo Native Run

Dean Berner made a very romantic gesture when, in April 2016, he proposed to Rachel Beauregard at the same spot they shared their first kiss.

When Beauregard said yes, Berner shared an emotional post on Facebook: “She said YES! WE’RE ENGAGED!!! We’re so excited to share our happiness with all our family, friends, and loved ones around the world and elsewhere.” The two tied the knot in late 2016.

Craig Wayne Boyd and Taylor Borland

During the seventh season of popular music reality show The Voice, fans were introduced to Craig Wayne Boyd, a contestant on Blake Shelton's team. While he was competing on the show, Boyd met his future wife, Taylor Borland. The couple started dating and on New Year's Eve 2015 Boyd and Borland became parents to a baby girl named Dakota Lynne. Shortly after they got married.

Nick Hoffman is a violinist and vocalist of country band The Farm. The band has two top forty singles on the Country Airplay chart from their first self-titled album. The songs "Home Sweet Home" and "Be Grateful" got them some fame in the country music industry. When he isn't playing in his band, Hoffman is playing the violin for Kenny Chesney's touring band.

Hoffman married Country Pop singer-songwriter Natalie Murphy in 2016, and that day, Hoffman said, was the best day of his life.

Dylan Scott and Blair Anderson

With his first single released in 2013, Dylan Scott signed a contract with Curb Records. He is known in the country industry as a singer but he is also trying to succeed as a songwriter. One of his songs, "My Girl," was actually written about the love of his life - his wife Blair Anderson whom he married in 2016, at a ceremony held in Bastrop, Louisiana. The song describes the love between Scott and Anderson, the way she looking at him and smiles while she's holding their baby. The two have two kids together: Beckett Scott and Finley Gray.

Jana Kramer and Mike Caussin

The world knows Kramer for her role as Alex Dupre in popular TV show One Tree Hill. Besides her acting career, she's also known in the country music industry. Kramer released her first single in 2012. TV viewers had another chance to see her when she competed in the twenty-third season of Dancing With the Stars.

Kramer was married twice before she met NFL player Mike Caussin in 2014. The couple got married in 2015, but they divorced in 2021. Since then. she's been linked to former quarterback Jay Cutler and fitness trainer and Navy veteran, Ian Schinelli.

Chely Wright and Lauren Blitzer

After living a life of secrecy, Chely Wright finally came out as a gay person to her family, friends, and the public sometime between 2004 and 2006. As a country singer, she was afraid of what her friends and fans would think if they knew about her sexual preferences, so she had secret relationships with one even lasting for 11 years. Before coming out, Wright dated country singer Brad Paisley.

Eventually, Wright married LGBT rights activist Lauren Blitzer, and the couple are parents to twin boys.

Sunny Sweeney and Jeff Hellmer

Country musician Sunny Sweeney's first album was released independently. With her second album, she became the first artist to sign with the new production house Republic Nashville in 2009. Republic Nashville (now BMLG) was a joint project of Big Machine and Universal Records. They released Sweeney's next three albums, the last one in March 2017.

As for her love life, Sunny Sweeney married her longtime boyfriend Jeff Hellmer on November 11th, 2011, in Las Vegas.

Wynonna Judd and Cactus Moser

Wynonna Judd first began performing with her mother Naomi in a country music duo called The Judds. She became famous thanks to that cooperation with her mom but decided to go solo in 1991.

Wynonna married her first husband, Arch Kelley III, in 1996, but that marriage lasted only two years. Judd and Kelley have two kids together.

After the divorce, Judd began dating Cactus Moser, a musician who is best known for his work in the band Highway 101. Moser and Judd married in June 2012.

Randy Houser and Tatiana Starzynski

In 2015, Randy Houser has been nominated for the Country Music Association (CMA) Song of the Year award. During his career, he has had several successful singles that ended up on the Country Airplay chart and the Mediabase Country Chart.

Houser was married twice. The first time, Houser married Jessa Lee Yantz in 2011. The couple welcomed a baby boy in 2012 but unfortunately divorced two years later. In 2016, Houser decided to tie the knot for the second time, with Tatiana Starzynski. They welcomed their first child together, Huckleberry Randolph Houser, in 2019.

Hillary Scott and Chris Tyrrell

Hillary Scott knew Chris Tyrell back in college, but they were not romantically involved until she joined country music group Lady Antebellum as one of the lead singers. The couple started dating when Scott's and Tyrrell's band performed together for Tim McGraw's 2010 Southern Voice tour. After a year of dating, Scott and Tyrell got engaged when Tyrrell proposed to her while they were in Tennessee. They got married in 2012, and in July 2013, they became parents to baby girl Eisele Kaye Tyrrell. In 2018, the couple welcomed twins

Joe Don Rooney and Tiffany Fallon

Multi-talented musician, Joe Don Rooney, the lead guitarist of country music trio the Rascal Flatts, also plays bass guitar, the mandolin and banjo. Rooney has been a member of Rascal Flatts since 1992.

His wife Tiffany Fallon was a model and beauty queen who was crowned the 2001 Miss Georgia USA and was runner-up for Miss USA that same year. In 2005, Fallon was even named the Playmate of the Year.

Rooney and Fallon have three kids together, Jagger Donovan Rooney, Raquel Blue Rooney, and Devon Olivia Rooney.

Natalie Maines and Adrian Pasdar

One of the most famous all-female groups in country music is Dixie Chicks. Natalie Maines, the lead singer of the group married Michael Tarabay, her college sweetheart in 1997. In 1999, after only two years of marriage, the couple filed for divorce. Soon after the divorce was final, Maines met actor Adrian Pasdar at the wedding of her bend member Emily Erwin. After almost a year of dating, Pasdar and Maines decided to get married and in 2000 they had a little ceremony at the Las Vegas venue A Little White Wedding Chapel. The couple had two sons together before splitting in 2019.

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert

A huge scandal has shaken the country music industry when Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, both much loved solo country singers and songwriters, decided to call it quits after 4 years of marriage.

Very shortly after, Blake started dating his The Voice co-judge pop singer Gwen Stefani. The couple ended up tying the knot in 2021. "Gwen saved my life. Who else on earth could understand going through a high-profile divorce from another musician? You can't even imagine the similarities in our divorces," Shelton shared with *Billboard*.

George Strait and Norma Strait

The so-called "King of Country" and one of the most influential country singers ever, George Strait has been married to his wife Norma since 1971. Their marriage is still strong after over 50 years together and they have two kids together. There are no indications that it will be any different in the future.

The singer still enjoys performing, especially his most famous classic songs such as "Check Yes or No", "You Look So Good in Love", "Amarillo By Morning" and "Carrying Your Love with Me", among other hits. Strait also appeared in numerous country-themed movies, such as Pure Country and Grand Champion.

Toby Keith Covel and Tricia Covel

In 1981, when Toby Keith was only 20 years old, he met 19-year-old Tricia Lucus in a nightclub in Oklahoma. The two got married three years later, in 1984, and they've been together ever since. Keith and Lucus have three kids together, Shelley, whom the couple adopted the same year they got married, Krystal, their first-born child, and Steven. Today, Toby and Tricia are proud grandparents to four grandchildren.

Kenny Rogers and Wanda Miller

Kenny Rogers is recognized around the world, no matter if you're a country music fan or not. He is one of the biggest names in the industry and a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.

His love life is one of the most turbulent ones as well. Rogers was married five times. The last time, he married Wanda Miller in 1997, and it seems that he finally got this one right. The two were dating up until his passing in 2020. Rogers left behind five kids.

Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook

Little Big Town is a country group that counts four-members, among them are Karen Fairchild and Jimi Westbrook. The group was founded in 1998, and all of the members are still in it. The interesting fact is that all four members alternate as the lead singers.

Fairchild and Westbrook fell in love and started dating, but for a long time, they kept their relationship a secret. They only announced it when they actually decided to tie the knot in May 2006. They are parents to son Elijah Dylan Westbrook.

Chris Carmack and Erin Slaver

Although Chris Carmack is better known for his acting roles in TV shows such as The O.C. where he played Luke Was, and Nashville where he portrayed Will Lexington, Carmack decided to try his luck as a country singer. In 2015, he released an EP called Pieces of You. A year later, Carmack announced that he got engaged to his girlfriend Erin Slaver, who is a violinist, and in addition to celebrating their engagement, the couple also announced the birth of their baby girl. They had another daughter in May 2022.

Eric Church and Katherine Blasingame

"You Make It Look So Easy" is a famous song that Eric Church actually wrote for his now wife, music publisher Katherine Blasingame. Blasingame is the inspiration for many of his songs, but this one was written especially for her. In 2008, when the two tied the knot in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, Eric sang this song at the ceremony. The couple became parents in 2011 when their son Boone McCoy Church was born. Church and Blasingame's second son Tennessee Hawkins "Hawk" Church was named after the state they live in.

Loretta and Oliver Lynn

Born into a country music loving family, it was easy for Loretta Lynn (née Webb) to decide what she wants to do with her life. She had the luck of becoming famous as a teenager, and her career still goes strong, more than five decades later.

Lynn met her husband, Oliver, when she was only 15 years old, and although they've been married for 48 years, their marriage was full of ups and downs. Nevertheless, the couple has six children together, three of them were born before Lynn was 19 years old.

Sadly, Oliver died in 1996.

Josh Turner and Jennifer Ford

After signing a deal with Nashville Records in 2003, Josh Turner released his first album the same year. Being a devoted Christian, it is not a surprise that this topic can often be heard in his songs.

Turner met his wife Jennifer at Belmont University, where they both have studied. The couple got married in 2003, the same year Turner's debut album was released. Turner and Jennifer has four sons together, and whenever Turner is on tour, his wife joins him.

Another talented country singer, Alison Krauss started her career while she was still a teenager. Krauss is a very popular country musician who actually released her first album while she was very young. Fourteen albums later, she has an astonishing 27 Grammy Awards, the second highest number of awards that somebody has ever won.

Now divorced, Krauss married her husband Pat in 1997, but unfortunately, the couple called it a quits in 2001. Krauss and Bergeson have a son together

Kris Kristofferson is a well-known country singer, songwriter and actor, who has collaborated with some big names in the industry during his career, including Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash. During his career, Daniels collaborated with many famous musicians, one of them is the legendary Bob Dylan.

Charlie Daniels married only once, back in 1963, and through tough times (he suffered a stroke and had cancer), his wife Hazel stood by him. Sadly, he passed away in 2020.
